Terms

Last reviewed August 2026

These are the terms on which the Nigerian American Golf Group runs this site and its outings.

Membership

Registering needs a membership key, which existing members hand on. Your account is yours alone; please do not share your password or let somebody else use your account, as it can spend your balance and book in your name.

The committee may make an account inactive if a membership lapses, or suspend one where the group’s rules have been broken.

Booking an outing

A booking is confirmed when it is recorded against your name, and the prices shown when you book are the prices you pay - a later change to what an outing charges does not alter a booking already made.

Where an outing has a limited field, places go in the order they are booked.

You may change your own booking while it is still open, including changing your mind about coming. Anything you have already paid is carried over: if the new booking costs more you pay the difference, and if it costs less the balance goes back to your account.

Cancelling

What is refunded depends on how long before the outing you cancel, and the bands are set by the committee for each outing. They are shown on the booking itself before you confirm it.

Some costs cannot be recovered once the group has committed to them - hotel rooms and green fees in particular - which is why a late cancellation returns less than an early one.

Your account balance

Money held on your account can be used against bookings and purchases. A balance can go into debit where the committee has recorded a charge that has not yet been settled; that is money owed to the group.

You can ask for a balance in credit to be paid out to you. Requests are reviewed by the committee and paid to the PayPal address you give.

The shop

Items are sold subject to availability. Anything to be posted is sent to the address on the order; anything marked as collected is handed over at an outing. If something arrives damaged or does not arrive, tell the committee and they will put it right.

On the course

You play at your own risk, and you are expected to follow the rules and etiquette of the game and of each host club. Members are responsible for the guests they bring.

Changes

The group may need to change a course, a hotel or a date - clubs close, weather intervenes. Where that happens the committee will tell everybody booked as soon as they can, and will say what it means for what you have paid.

Getting in touch

Questions about any of this go to the committee through the contact page.

If anything here is unclear, ask the committee.
